India’s Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-IN) recently issued a series of updates on statistical protection practices, methods, prevention, response, and reporting of cyber incidents under the Information Age Act, 2000 (IT Act). CERT-IN mandates that shippers, intermediaries, clearinghouses, and business entities must document cyber incidents within six hours of becoming aware of them or sell such incidents to such related parties.
Need to do it. Prior to this exchange, CERT-IN required that cyber protection incidents be reported as soon as possible and within a reasonable time of occurrence and notification.
